An insulator with a rated voltage of 126kV, 252kV bending and breaking load of not less than 12kV and a climbing electrical ratio of 25 mm/kV, developed by the umbrella skirt, can withstand the highest operating phase voltage for a long time at 0.12 mg/2 salt density, i.e. the climbing electrical distance of insulator III, and can withstand the pollution of the IV salt equivalent.

An insulator with a rated voltage of 550kV with a crawl ratio of 25 mm/kV can operate for long periods with 0.06 mg/kg and 2 grade salt density. Insulator's pollution resistance level is the leading in China, it tolerates the equivalent of salt density higher than the same climbing distance, isometric umbrella skirt of the same product one third. The test results of resistance voltage to artificial fouling by the Northeast Power Test Institute show that the creep ratio is 1/3 .The test results of artificial fouling resistance voltage of the NETS showed that the maximum tolerance value of the insulator was 0.25 mg/kg / kV.
